Our History
Founder Faraj Tarazi, better known as “Fred” to family and friends, owned and operated a fine foods importing company based in Los Angeles in the 1970s. He saw the opportunity to develop a premium Mediterranean foods brand and spent many nights in local bakeries perfecting the Tarazi family recipes. Due to positive feedback an immediate demand was created for these recipes. Fred then engineered and developed a one of a kind production facility to launch his new brand: Tarazi.
