Traditional Fried Falafel is a popular Mediterranean food that is vegetarian, and high in protein and fiber. Falafel is often made into balls, and then stuffed into a pita, and can also be used to make vegetarian burgers.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Tarazi Falafel Mix
- 3/4 cup Water
- Form mixture into 2 inch round balls using a falafel scooper, or by hand.
- Olive Oil Amount depends on size of fryer; add approx. 4 inches.
Directions
- Mix Falafel Mix with water. Let stand for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Heat 4 inches of oil on medium high heat (about 275*-300* F).
- Form mixture into 2 inch round balls using a falafel scooper, or by hand.
- Fry in oil 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
- Makes 12 falafel balls.
